Lewisham Stop Smoking Service is there to help anyone who wants to stop smoking who lives, works or is a student in Lewisham.
We offer free, friendly, practical support and advice on medications to support you while you stop smoking.
Medications include nicotine replacement products - patches, gum, lozenges, microtabs, nasal spray and inhalators.
Champix and Zyban are available on prescription from your GP. From February 2010, Champix will be available from certain pharmacists in Lewisham.
Medication is free if you are exempt from prescription charges. If not, a prescription charge will be made.
The Stop Smoking Team is based at the Waldron Health Centre. One of the team will answer your call if you phone us during normal office hours. There is a voicemail facility after these hour or you can text or email us and we will response as soon as possible.
We also train and support Lewisham's stop smoking advisors, promote the services we offer and run stop smoking groups at Lewisham Hospital.
There are advisors in many GP practices and pharmacies in Lewisham, a group at Lewisham Hospital and several Drop Ins. If you're not sure which service would suit you best, contact us and we'll help you choose.
